Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Local 157 JATC and Training Department have adopted a new protocol for attending future classes and the utilization of the Weld Shop. The new protocol is based on CDC recommendations and has been enacted for the health and welfare of all members and instructors.

A combination of classroom along with on-the-job training. On the job training takes place by working side by side with a skilled journeyman.

Apprentice Monthly Evaluation Forms & Work Progress Forms for the month of
These forms must be turned in monthly. If you did not work, you still need to turn them in noting that you did not work.
Monthly Evaluation and Work Progress forms are available in your classrooms, at the Training Center or can be printed from this website.
These Fees can be paid with a credit or debit card by calling the Training Center (812-877-1736) during business hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST). Or, make your payment payable to Local 157 Training Center and mail to 8707 E. Milner Avenue Terre Haute, IN. 47803. Please call the Training Center if you have any questions.

Upcoming jobs will require you to have the TWIC card. Please obtain your card as soon as possible.

There have been many rumors about the rules for completion of Apprenticeship. The new Apprenticeship Standards have been adopted and approved by the D.O.L. In these Standards the following policy is located, which is designed to aid with the On-The-Hours requirements. Please click the link to view the policy.
WELD TEST DATES
The Weld Shop is open and will follow the CDC guidelines and the Covid-19 Protocol.
All weld tests for certification take place on the dates listed below at the Terre Haute Weld Shop at 8:00 am EST.
Please register with the Training Center no later than the Wednesday before the test date.
These dates may change
or be cancelled if protocol from CDC changes.
