OVER 120 YEARS OF SERVICE
Our History
Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 has a proud history with more than 120 years of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry. Since 1896, the members of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 and the Union Contractors who employ them have been working together to meet the needs of area industries.
NOTABLE PROJECTS
Local 157 members have contributed to numerous significant projects throughout their history, including those at the Marathon Refinery, the Cayuga Generating Station, the Subaru Industrial Automotive plant in Lafayette, and IU Health and St. Francis Hospitals.
UA Local 157's history demonstrates a legacy of skilled tradesmanship, union solidarity, and dedication to serving the pipefitting industry and its members. Its history also highlights the impact of labor unions in the Wabash Valley.
